Acid Mothers Temple is a collective band from Japan that consists an ever-changing lineup and a different names for many of their releases such as Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., Acid Mothers & The Cosmic Inferno, and Acid Mothers Temple & The Incredible Strange Band among many others.
Acid Mother’s set seemed like one long psychedelic drone jam with the exception of their cover of Black Sabbath’s “The Wizard.” Nevertheless, their set flowed together nicely and always stayed interesting.
They had a pretty trippy visual display going on behind them too.
Their were times during their set when one of their guitarists had nothing to do so, since he was wearing a dress, he would dance in the front of the stage as though he were a showgirl or something.
That was….well it was something to see, that’s for sure.
Anyway, for not having known all that much about Acid Mothers, this was still a cool show.
If you’re interested I’d say check out some of their music, their albums are typically like 2-4 songs that are all upwards of 15 minutes, with some reaching 45.
